The annual summer Garden Party has always been the social highpoint of the CRG calendar. Since 1989, it has also raised money for charities.

Charities Supported by the Juniper Balls

The 10th and 21st Anniversaries of the founding of the CRG have been celebrated in style. The first Juniper Ball was held in April 1988 at the Waldorf Hotel in London, celebrating a “Decade of Decadence”! The second Juniper Ball, under the slogan “The Spirit of Juniper” took place in the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in April 1999.

Our 10th Anniversary Ball raised £7,559 for The British Lung Foundation.

Our 21st Anniversary Ball raised £14,062 for the Royal National Lifeboat institution, and ultimately raised sufficient funds for the RNLI to purchase a class D lifeboat, The Spirit of Juniper, which took up station at Littlehampton in 2005.
